ONE. WHAT THE WORKS IS TO ME?
The Works is the place I want to be on my best days and on my worst. It's where I get out of my head and into my body and where I've had the privilege of growing into myself in my 20's. I know that when I walk through those doors I'll be met with smiling faces, some great music and a damn good time moving my body (and probably shaking) surrounded by the best community in CHS!!
TWO. WHAT'S IN MY HEADPHONES?
I love me some Americana/indie-rock, 70s-80s dad rock, R&B, J Cole (my love) and of course 2000s/2010's hip hop bangers. I never know what's coming next when my liked songs are on shuffle!!
THREE. HOW DID I FIND MYSELF ON THE MAT?
I did yoga sporadically in my teens but didn't start consistently practicing until college. I signed up for a random yoga class at a studio in Pittsburgh, not knowing it was hot yoga until I showed up. After that first class I was hooked. I love the way showing up on my mat makes me feel, mentally and physically, and how everyone is showing up to better themselves one class at a time. What a gift it is to be in the room!
FOUR. COME TO ME FOR…
A damn good time and a space where you can feel safe being authentically you. We'll laugh together, sweat together, and listen to some great music all while moving our bodies and pushing ourselves to be the best version of ourselves in the present moment.
